What bothers me is that if you do even the slightest bit of research into the terminology you'll come across a plethora of differences in many different contexts, there's really little excuse to think demons and devils are essentially the same, beside the fact that they're both traditionally examples of extreme evil. That said, even using the cited descriptors Satan is never described as a demon, just as having demonic qualities as those are traits rather than species, and he's the ruler of demons, which still usually applies to the devils anyway. In that bit you cited for example it's stated that "the Satan" is a title, which basically dances around the Satan's actual identity (often Lucifer, as far as I could tell)
